Life Group Leader Coach
PURPOSE
Life Group Leader Coaches shepherd a small group of leaders so they are known,
cared for, encouraged, and developed as disciples who lead. This creates a clear
and sustainable shepherding structure that helps leaders grow in Christ, lead others
well, and keeps discipleship relational, healthy, and multiplying as Forest Hill grows.

Coach Training Guide
Life Group Coaches shepherd a small group of Life Group leaders so they are known, cared for, en-
couraged, and developed as disciples who lead. This creates a clear and sustainable shepherding
structure that helps leaders grow in Christ, lead others well, and keeps discipleship relational, healthy,
and multiplying as Forest Hill grows.
A Coach is a disciple who leads — a lead learner who continues to follow Jesus while helping others
do the same. This role is rooted in shepherding. The goal is not simply better leadership, but disciples
who lead and help others follow Jesus well.

Coach Playbook
This playbook will be your month-to-month guide as you prepare huddles, meet with leaders one-on-one, visit groups, and make monthly contact with leaders. Please keep notes of your time together and communicate any support needed to your Discipleship Minister.
As you care for and invest in your leaders, we also want you to feel cared for and supported in your role as a coach. What you learn through your conversations and time with leaders will help us better understand how we can encourage, equip, and come alongside them. Together, our hope is to cultivate healthy Life Groups where leaders are supported, people are known and cared for, and everyone has the opportunity to grow in their relationship with Jesus.
